How we help protect your data.

IRIS Software Security

 

IRIS undergoes a series of daily operations to help ensure software security.  Daily malware & virus scans are performed on all dedicated servers.  Firewalls and VPN systems are in place to prevent unauthorized access.

 

Authorization to internal IRIS systems are granted to only a small set of users.  Servers are kept up-to-date with regular security patches and upgrades.

Credit Card Precautions

 

All credit card transactions are secured in transit using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.  SSL is required to connect to the IRIS point sale system.  Credit card information is not stored on IRIS servers.

 

Repeat sales use temporary tokenization technology provided by our PCI compliant credit card processors.

Physical Security

 

All IRIS servers are hosted by Rackspace, a reputable leader in storage and security.  24 hour surveillance is provided along with 24x7 monitoring of server uptime.  Our dedicated support staff provides up-to-minute alerts of any potential server issues.

 

Access to data centers is also strictly prohibited other than to licensed technicians.

Database Backups & Storage

 

All data stored on IRIS servers is protected with several layers of encryption.  Database backups are performed nightly along with 15 minute incremental backups.

 

Data is replicated to a secondary secure location.  In the unlikely event of hardware failure or data loss, all information can be restored.
